Eloise Maxwell

Eloise Maxwell is a Master’s candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts focusing on contemporary ‘experimental’, darkroom-based photographic practices, and the intersections between photography, drawing and painting. Eloise graduated from Oxford University in 2010, where she majored in Art History. Before moving to New York from London, Eloise worked for a number of public and private art institutions, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and Blain Southern Gallery. She recently helped organize the Great Hall Exhibition at the IFA with artist Walead Beshty.

In the inaugural, 2014-2015 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Maxwell co-curated the ten artist group exhibition, Absence / Presence with fellow curators, Anna Blum, Riad Kherdeen, Tola Porter, and Patryk Tomaszewski.
