Halston Bruce received her MA from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. She is a fledgling curator, aspiring scholar, ramen fanatic, fitness nut, jaywalking enthusiast, and a forever cyclist. Her academic studies are focused on social issues related to immigration and drug violence in Latin America. Alternately, her many visits to Iceland have developed into working on a long-term documentary film titled Blood Memory, which is a survey of Icelandic heritage and tradition through the history of their fishing industry.
