Katie Wright

Katie Wright received her doctoral degree from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University in 2015. Pursuing a career as a museum professional, she has worked at a number of institutions, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Morgan Library and Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She specializes in the study of postwar American art, with a particular research interest in alternative media, public art and photography. Currently she holds the position of Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Research and Collections Specialist Fellow in the Modern and Contemporary Art department at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In the inaugural, 2014-2015 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Wright organized the exhibition Days with Frog and Toad featuring the work of artists Louis Jeong Soo Kim and Pete Valenti.
