Artist Statement

My work is based on what I am feeling at the moment; all methods are fair game when it comes to constructing that reality. Lately I’ve been feeling: When do our performances in and as the self begin and end? In Sin and in Sincerity, have you caught up with your non-self? My body tells my mind what to do and vice versa. Applying my body to the material that is around me reminds the material that i am around it and vice versa. Who wins this battle? How to cop? Appearance as identification, identification as depiction. Two identical words, comma hidden in my gap toothed smile.
