Ksenia Soboleva

Ksenia M. Soboleva is a writer, curator and art historian specializing in queer art and theory. A graduate of Utrecht University, where she received her B.A. in Art History, she is currently a PhD Student at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. In her research she focuses on the New York art scene during the AIDS crisis, with a strong interest in art as protest and the shifting boundaries between the private and the public sphere.

In the inaugural, 2014-2015 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Soboleva organized the exhibition still featuring the work of artists David Bransfield and Emma Strebel. Soboleva also serves as co-coordinator of the NYUCC along with fellow coordinator, Madeline Turner.
