Rachel Vorsanger

Rachel Vorsanger is a Master’s candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts. Her focus of study is transcultural art, particularly works produced by Spanish, French, and Latin American artists throughout their travels in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She received her Bachelor’s from the George Washington University with a combined minor in Fine Arts and Art History. After graduation Rachel spent three years living in Spain, where both her knowledge of different languages and exposure to various cultures throughout Europe influenced her academic focus. Her curatorial experience includes internships at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Picasso Museum in Barcelona.

In the 2015 -2016 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Vorsanger organized the exhibition Dialectic Recollection featuring the work of artists Annie Carroll and Tritia Lee.
