Cindy Qian is a first-year M.A. student at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts, focusing on modern and contemporary art in China and Japan. She is particularly interested in installation art and the development of curatorial practice in response. A graduate of Northwestern University, she received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Art History. She has held previous internships at the Cabinet de la Photographie of Centre Pompidou and the Gagosian Gallery. Originally from Shanghai, China, Cindy also does graphic design in her free time.
