Lisa A. Orcutt

Lisa A. Orcutt is currently an M.A. candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU with an interest in contemporary art and curatorial studies. She studied Chinese language in Beijing for three years prior to pursuing a Bachelor of Law degree in sociology at Renmin University of China. While there, Lisa conducted research into the topic of legitimacy change for areas of high artist concentration in Beijing since 1990. Her previous professional experience includes an internship as project coordinator at the Danish Cultural Center in Beijing, translation of various art and curatorial texts, and content editing for an artist’s website.

In the 2016 -2017 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Orcutt co-organized the ten artist group exhibition Vestige(s) with fellow curator, Desiree Mitton.
