Taryn DeLeon Mendiola does not like to say where she was born and is currently living in New York.  She is Chamorro and grew up near military bases in Kuwait, Qatar, and Colorado.  Her family and multi-cultural background are strong influences in her work.  She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of the Arts in History from New York University in 2019.
