Tola Porter

Tola Porter is a curator and art historian specializing in early twentieth century modernism with a focus on sculpture. Tola holds an M.A. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU and an M.A. in arts administration from Columbia University. Her curatorial experiences include The Whitney Museum of American Art, where she interned for both the Curatorial Department and the Directors Office, and art advising for private clients. Tola is currently the Curatorial Associate for Special Exhibitions at the Renee and Chaim Gross Foundation.

In the inaugural, 2014-2015 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Porter co-curated the ten artist group exhibition, Absence / Presence with fellow curators, Anna Blum, Riad KherdeenEloise Maxwell, and Patryk Tomaszewski.
