Anna Blum

Anna Blum is currently an M.A. candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. She was awarded a B.A. with Honors in Art History and French from Tulane University, where she conducted research on American female painter Joan Mitchell. Her graduate work focuses on post-war American art, and specifically on the phenomenological and affective aspects of Minimalism. Participating in the Curatorial Internship Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Anna is currently assisting the Senior Curator Barbara Haskell with organizing a Stuart Davis retrospective. Her previous professional experience includes working at the Museum of Modern Art, The New York Public Art Fund, Peter Blum Gallery, as well as assisting a private dealer during several editions of the annual Art Fair in Basel.

In the inaugural, 2014-2015 season of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative, Blum co-curated the ten artist group exhibition, Absence / Presence with fellow curators, Riad Kherdeen, Eloise Maxwell, Tola Porter, and Patryk Tomaszewski.
